Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: 2026-07-10

Use PropertyTaxAtlas at your own risk: every tax figure and estimate is a median-based planning number computed from public Census data, not a tax bill, an assessment, a quote, or professional advice. The estimator cannot know your exemptions, assessment ratio, special districts, or homestead caps. Verify anything that matters with your local assessor. Values are provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Questions: [email protected].

Nature of the information

Educational reference and estimates only — not tax, legal, financial, or professional advice, and not an official assessment, quote, or tax bill. Every tax figure is a median from a Census survey, and the estimator's output is a median-based approximation. Property tax is assessed and collected locally; your actual bill is set by your county assessor and local taxing authorities, not by this site.

Accuracy and warranty

Provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We aim for accuracy and trace every value to a cited public source — the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey (2020–2024 5-year estimates) and the 2024 Census county gazetteer — but do not guarantee it is error-free, current, or fit for a particular purpose. Estimates carry margins of error; the effective rate is a ratio of two independently-estimated medians, not a statutory rate; and no estimate can account for your exemptions, assessment ratio, special districts, or homestead caps. Verify anything that matters with your local assessor before relying on it.

Data attribution

Underlying tax, value, income, and geographic data are from the U.S. Census Bureau, a public-domain U.S. Government work (17 U.S.C. §105). This site's original text, layout, computed rates and rankings, and code are not public domain.

Acceptable use and external links

Personal and educational reference use is welcome; do not scrape the site to overload it or misrepresent it as an official Census Bureau or government publication. External links — including to state tax authorities — are provided for convenience and are not endorsements; those sites are outside our control. Contact: [email protected].

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PropertyTaxAtlas is not liable for any loss or decision arising from use of the site or its estimates. Do not make a purchase, financing, or tax decision on the basis of a figure here without confirming it with the relevant county assessor or a qualified professional.
